Dance the night away to raise money to help stop homelessness on Cape Cod. All proceeds from Rock to Stop go to the programs at the Homeless Prevention Council. We hope you will want to join us for some old-school fun at Hog Island Brewery. The night will include live music for your dancing pleasure with the amazing ‘60s cover band, The Broughmans, a 50/50 raffle, and an awesome auction too! It is a great way to have fun and know you are also helping people in need on the Cape. Last year “Rock to Stop Homelessness” raised an incredible $23, 370. Please help us to surpass that this year!
Since 1991 the Homeless Prevention Council has been working to, “Provide case management solutions to support self-sufficiency and stability in our community of Lower Cape Cod.” The HPC serves clients in Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Harwich, Orleans, Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet.
The HPC is working toward a Lower Cape where everyone can thrive. Staffed with three trained and experienced case managers, the Homeless Prevention Council provides professional counseling and guidance to those at risk of becoming homeless. Our client services include advocacy and access to housing programs, and funding, budgeting and negotiation for rent and mortgage payments. In addition, our case managers assist clients in assessing their ability to earn a living and, if appropriate, encourage them to pursue further job training and/or education. We also assist clients with connections to community resources, fuel assistance applications, assistance in seeking job training and/or educational opportunities. You may also be aware of our Backpack-to-School and Adopt-a-Family programs as well
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a fun-filled evening while helping to support an important organization that is doing so much to help members of our own Lower Cape Community.
