Nauset Disposal is disappointed to announce the cancellation of the 2020 in-person portion of its annual fundraiser Trash Bash due to COVID-19. However, recognizing that there is still a need in the Cape Cod Community, the company has decided to shift its efforts to an online fundraising campaign. Trash Bash 2020 will benefit Cape & Islands United Way, Center for Coastal Studies, Cape Cod Cares for the Troops and Wild Care.

Donations to Trash Bash 2020 can be made online at www.trashbash.nausetdisposal.com. As an incentive to donate, Nauset Disposal will be hosting a Staycation Sweepstakes, beginning on September 16 and continuing through October 31. Three winners will be chosen on Monday, November 2, and prizes include a 2-night stay at the Surfside Hotel & Suites in Provincetown, a 2-night stay at the Pelham House Resort in Dennis and a 1-night stay at Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Plymouth. Each stay will be accompanied by a $100 dining gift card. Both the Surfside Hotel & Suites and the Pelham House Resort generously donated their stays to this fundraising effort. Donations are encouraged, but not necessary, to enter the sweepstakes.

Owner Shawn DeLude, commented, “I’d like to thank the businesses that have come forward to sponsor Trash Bash this year, as well as the businesses that have donated their time, money and efforts on our past events. Their unwavering commitment to the Cape Cod community in a time of uncertainty is exceptional, and we are proud to partner with them. Now more than ever it is vital that we all support local business, so please support these businesses that give back. Our community is so much stronger when we work together.”

With the intention to lead by example, Nauset Disposal is proud to announce that the company will match up to $10,000 in business sponsorships for Trash Bash 2020. Nauset Disposal would like to thank its community partners who, despite current challenges, continue to step up to the plate to support their community.
