ciglevellogo2Orleans, MA- Nauset Disposal continues to stay true to their mission of “providing outstanding customer service while conducting business with a respect for the environment and a continuing dedication to our local communities” as they achieve Level 2 Verification for the Cape and Islands Green Program. The Community Development Partnership’s Cape & Islands Green program on the Lower Cape is helping businesses take their initiatives in “going green” to the next level.  As a result of becoming a Cape & Islands Green Level 2 Verified Business, Nauset Disposal, has taken further efforts to reduce energy consumption and costs, changed buying practices by switching to environmentally compatible products and educated employees about fuel efficient transportation choices. All of these actions make an impact on our environment.

“At Nauset Disposal we take our commitment to the environment very seriously. Throughout all of our business practices we maintain a consciousness for our fragile Cape Cod environment. Whether it is through our single-steam recycling program, using environmentally friendly hydraulic fluid on our trucks, or something as simple as reusing scrap paper in the office, all of us at Nauset Disposal maintain an awareness for our “green” initiatives” says Nauset Disposal President, Shawn DeLude

As local businesses strive to make Cape Cod a “Green Destination”, the Cape & Islands Green program is dedicated to helping businesses become successful and responsible by reducing their impact on the natural environment while lowering their operating costs and increasing their competitive advantage. The program was organized by a collective of environmentally conscious business owners, with support from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce and the Community Development Partnership.
