The Animal Hospital of Orleans and the Orleans Board of Health
are holding a low-cost rabies immunization clinic on Saturday, March 28, 2020.  The clinic will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon at 65 Finlay Road, Orleans, MA 02653.

The cost for the rabies immunization is $10.00 per pet. All dogs, cats, and ferrets must be on a leash or in an animal carrier.

Pets between 3 months and 1 year of age or pets that have never been vaccinated
will receive a 1 year rabies tag. Pets over 1 year old with proof of a prior rabies
vaccination (certificate) will receive a 3 year rabies tag. If you are unable to provide proof of a prior vaccination, your pet will receive a 1 year rabies tag/certificate.

Domestic pets have been identified as the link between rabies and humans.  Massachusetts State law mandates that all dogs, cats and ferrets be vaccinated.
