Guys, getting away with your buddies is a blast in Orleans. Check some of our “broactive” choices:
Day One – Hit the Links
Tee off on two award-winning 18-hole golf courses at Captains Golf Course, Cape Cod’s premier public golf course facility. Also available are two practice greens, a driving range, electric and pull carts and full restaurant amenities. If one or all in the group are newbies, the course’s PGA-certified teaching professionals can help. Lessons include both individual and group sessions.
Captain’s Golf Course
Day Three – The Strike Zone
Candlepin bowling with a side of savory barbecue is on tap at the The Alley, which by the way has local brews on tap at a full bar.
A complete entertainment spot, the center also features arcade games, big-screen TVs and mouthwatering barbecue specialties from the onsite Big Dogs Barbecue, served lane side or in a dining area featuring high-top tables.
One good sport deserves another, and in Orleans, summer days end at Eldredge Park, watching the Orleans Firebirds take on other members of the Cape Cod Baseball League, a collegiate summer baseball league that has launched the careers of scores of MLB stars. Carlton Fisk, Steven Wright and Nomar Garciaparra are all former Firebirds.
