On Monday, June 24th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the CDP offices in Eastham, the CDP will host a mandatory in-person Group Meeting for first time home buyers who plan to participate in the online course.  The online course is an extension of the CDP First Time Home Buyer workshop series and is being offered to those households and individuals who are not able to a three session workshop or who need the education before our next workshop in the fall of 2019. The online course is a hybrid of both online and in-person components.  In order to receive a certificate of Completion, participants must complete the online program and then attend the in-person Group Meeting on June 24th. Note that this is the last Group Meeting available for online participants until the fall of 2019.

The Community Development Partnership’s First Time Home Buyer education course covers credit health and budgeting, mortgage process and options, finding the right home and making an offer, appraisals, home inspection, legal procedures and protections, insurance protection, home energy audits and savings, and advice about ongoing homeownership.

The Homebuyer Education Course has received the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative’s “Seal of Approval” from the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA). Graduates are eligible for discounted mortgage products.

Cost to complete the course is $100 per household and interested buyers can register on the CDP website under Upcoming Events at www.capecdp.org.

The First Time Home Buyer workshop series is sponsored by Seamen’s Bank.
