About the Parade
The July 4th Parade is full of music, celebration, and fun! Parade route starts at the Orleans Elementary School on Eldredge Park Way, rain or shine. The parade route continues down Eldredge Park Way, Route 6A, Main Street, Route 28 and back to Eldredge Park Way. Insiders tip: Bring some beach chairs or blankets and stake out a spot about a half hour before the parade begins!
A donation is appreciated to help fund parade expenses. Parade committee members will walk along the route with buckets and collect your generous donations.
Parking for the parade
You will find public parking in public lots around town at the Orleans Middle School, Main Street, and Old Colony Way. Many businesses also allow parking in their lots during the parade.
The parade will be held unless there is a threat of dangerous weather. Any cancellation or postpostment notices will be posted on this event listing. The Orleans Police Department will have the latest information ~ 508-255-0117.
Lunch After the Parade
After the parade many restaurants will be open for lunch in Orleans! Spend your day in town and enjoy lunch at one of our member restaurants.
Parade Theme and Awards
Every year the Fourth of July Committee selects the theme of the Fourth of July Parade. The theme selected for this year’s Parade is ‘Orleans Rocks!, submitted by Cody Stratton of Orleans Elementary School.
Each year the Fourth of July parade committee awards prizes to business floats, non-profit floats, floats by families and antique cars who participate in the parade.
