Two-Week Look Ahead Starting December 21, 2020

Every week the construction contractors for Contract No. 2019-01 – Downtown Area Wastewater Treatment Facility and Effluent Disposal, Daniel O’Connell’s Sons, Inc. and Contract No. 2019-02 – Downtown Area Collection System and Pumping Stations, Robert B. Our Co., Inc. provide a “two-week look ahead” that summarizes anticipated construction activity in the planned project area.

Contract No. 2019-01 – Downtown Area Wastewater Treatment Facility and Effluent Disposal

During the next two weeks, construction crews and detours are scheduled to be at the following locations:

  • 29 Overland Way: Expect construction traffic and equipment to be entering and exiting at Bay Ridge Lane.  Work includes site excavation, formwork, rebar installation, and placing concrete for base lab.
  • 32 Lots Hollow Road: Expect construction traffic and equipment to be entering and exiting at Lots Hollow Road.  Work includes finishing concrete and forming the supported deck of effluent disposal distribution box.

Contract No. 2019-02 – Downtown Area Collection System and Pumping Stations Area

During the next two weeks construction crews and detours are scheduled to be at the following locations:

  • Main Line Crew 1: Old Tote Road for sewer service stub installation and water service installation. There will be trench asphalt patching on Monday December 21st. The following week Crew 1 will be on West Road nearing Route 6A installing gravity sewer, force main sewer, service tees, and fiber optic conduit. 
  • Traffic Delays/Detours: Old Tote Road will be closed to through traffic December 21-23, but access will be allowed to residents and local businesses. Please check with the detail officer located at either end of Old Tote Road for best access. See detour plans on the “Construction Activities and Detours” webpage. Detours on West Road will resume December 28-30

Note: Work on West Road will pause the week of December 21st to allow for access to Skaket Corners Plaza (9 West Road) before the holiday. Crews will not be working December 24-25 or December 31-January 1 due to the holidays.
