Cape Cod Chamber works with Social Security Administration to host temporary satellite locations
Cape Cod, MA: Beginning April 12th, the Social Security Administration will host satellite locations in Orleans and Provincetown to assist temporary J1 and H2B seasonal workers in finalizing their required applications to begin work with Cape Cod businesses.
Snow Library, located at 67 Main Street in Orleans, will host the Social Security Administration on April 12th, May 10th, and June 7th from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Veterans Memorial Community Center, located at 2 Mayflower Street in Provincetown, will host the Social Security Administration on April 26th, May 24th, and June 14th from 10 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Seasonal workers must obtain a Social Security number before working in the United States and the Cape Cod Chamber has worked on behalf of its member businesses to implement special remote locations to assist with their overall business operations and the time it takes to travel to Hyannis to fulfill Social Security requirements.
The Chamber thanks Delia M De Mello and all of the Social Security Administration staff that brought this opportunity to reality, along with The Town of Provincetown officials, including Anthony Fuccillo, Chris Hottle, and Chief Golden, and The Town of Orleans officials, including Tavi Prugno, Chief MacDonald, and Lt. Higgins who graciously worked to provide locations and service.
