Candace Hammond Writing – Helping Businesses Get Noticed and Grow
One of the most effective ways for businesses to get the attention of potential clients and customers is through written content. To be able to give voice to your services and products is vital. It is a way for you to let people know who you are and what you do. Through engaging web content, blogging, and newsletters you can keep an open dialogue with existing clients, and give a way for new ones to find you.
Another very effective way for people to know about you and your business is social media. If you are not on Facebook and Instagram in particular, you are missing a huge opportunity to connect on a regular basis through visual and brief written content. It’s a very powerful tool to help you to stay in the front of the mind of people who can become users of your products and services. And with social media, you can reach people in town, and around the globe.
Since 2002 I have worked as a journalist on the Cape. I have written over 500 features, columns, and reviews. I know editors and reporters at every Cape newspaper and magazine which means my press releases get read, and my clients have more opportunity for notice in local media. I also know how to write a press release, something that is vital when promoting a new business or an event.
As a business owner, you can’t do it all. Your time is best spent doing what you do well. I can help you create a plan that works for you and what you do. Currently, I handle all the social media for a local store, Vintage in Vogue. Promoting vintage clothing is very visual. Since hiring me at the beginning of the year the owner has seen much more traffic in her store, something so needed in the off-season. I have created a very active Facebook and Instagram presence for the store which is bringing people in.
Another Orleans business, Artisan Skincare has me write all their written content. From press releases to web content, to the text message clients receive after their service, I do it all for her. I have also done writing and promotion for Nomadic Travel Company and the Pants Factory.
I will soon be heading into my fifth season with the Wellfleet Beachcomber. I promote upcoming shows on social media, through the local press, secure their radio sponsorships, and write a weekly newsletter to their over 10,000 subscribers. It’s a fun and exciting business to work for, and my newsletters and posts reflect that energy.
We can design a plan that works for you and your business.I can help you create an online presence, help you promote events, update your web content, and blog, or write a monthly, or weekly newsletter for you. I offer packages for multiple services or can work hourly for one-time work. I have secured my clients features in the Cape Cod Times, the Chatham Chronicle and Cape Cod Magazine just in the last few months.
As a business owner, you have a lot to do. Your time should be spent doing what you do best, and what brings in money. I am someone who can take several things off your to-do list and free you up. I would be happy to sit down with you and see how my services could help you grow your business, find new clients, and let the community know what you’re up to.
