10:00 am – 1:00 pm OHS Museum open to public, Battle of Rock Harbor exhibit.
8:00 – 10:00 am Pancake Breakfast, Orleans United Methodist Church, Rt 28 & Main Street, $7 adults/$4 children under 10
10:00 am A Town Crier will walk Main Street ringing an alarm bell, alerting citizens that the British are coming ashore to burn the salt works in retaliation for Orleans destroying British equipment.
11:00 am Skirmish between American Militia and British sailors at Rock Harbor.
11:40 am Community of Jesus Fife & Drum group will perform in Parish Park, 44 Main Street
Noon – British troops will march down Main Street from Route 6A. They will engage in a “rolling battle” with American Militia. The chase will move through the Village Green, past the Middle School, to Eldriedge Park.
1:00 – 2:00 pm Battle will take place on Eldredge Park, corner of Route 28 and Eldredge Park Way. Viewers may sit on the hillside overlooking the field.
10:00 – 2:00 Cape Cod Sports Ambassadors youth exchange group will sell bottled water and popcorn between Village Green and Eldredge Park.
1:00 – 4:00 Snow Library, Wicked Fun Tabletop Games with Matt
3:30 Denya LeVine, local fiddler, music of the era, on the Village Green.
3:00 – 5:00 pm Oh Say Can You See exhibit of American Flags from 1812 to the present,
Old Firehouse Gallery, 44 Main Street
7:00 – 9:00 Re-enactors will participate in a period contra dance on the Village Green.
Sunday, Aug 17
9:00 am. Historic themed Sunday service, Federated Church, 162 Main St, East Orleans
11:00 am Re-enactors will hold a small skirmish on Eldredge Park. The public is invited to attend.
Camp will close by 3 pm.
