The Spring Talent Search will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 starting at 6 p.m. at The Lanes Bowl & Bistro in Mashpee, MA. The event will give an opportunity for established and emerging bands who have never played the TD Bank Summer Concert Series to play for a live audience and compete for open slots in the lineup. The public is invited to attend. Citizens Bank Summer Concerts

According to David Kaplan, Interim Executive Director of the Arts Foundation, “this Talent Search is one of the most exciting Arts Foundation events of the year not only because we get to hear some wonderful musicians perform, but also because we know that we’ll be able to give some of the bands the opportunity to perform at our summer concert venues and give the community an opportunity to hear their music. It’s remarkable how much emerging talent exists on Cape Cod and we’re thrilled to help find and nurture that talent.”

The competition is open to all Cape-based bands who have not booked an AFCC Summer Concert in the past. Performing bands will receive media promotion and live exposure. The top band will be booked for a paid performance slot in the TD Bank Summer Concert Series.

The competition will be juried by a panel of “Celebrity Guests”, who will rank the bands based on audience response, musicality, and compatibility with the family-friendly series.

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, the region’s designated arts agency, ensures the vibrancy of our cultural community by supporting, promoting, and strengthening arts and culture throughout the year.
