Orleans is one of just 44 Massachusetts communities (out of a total 312 towns and 39 cities) to be officially designated a Cultural District by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Our Village Center Cultural District features multiple galleries and studios, performance venues, historical sites and museums.

However, you’ll find cultural venues throughout our artistic village and beyond.

Saturday night is Gallery Night in Orleans, a chance to meet dozens of artists in casual settings and see their latest works. Join the Orleans Gallery Association and get to know artists that show in New York City, across the country and Europe. Please check with the individual galleries for hours and shows.

Theater is a preferred night time activity in Orleans! We are lucky to be home to the Academy of Performing Arts Playhouse which produces more than 12 shows a year including musicals, dramas, comedies and original works. Cape Rep Theater is another very talented group located nearby in Brewster which has three theaters, their Main Stage and Outdoor Theater, the only one on Cape Cod!

The internationally renowned Gloriӕ Dei Cantores Choir is a 40-voice choir that holds a passionate dedication to find and express the most authentic and compelling interpretation of sacred choir music of all historical periods and styles.
