Τhe days are shorter but brighter during the holidays in Orleans. The season kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 9am with Breakfast With Mrs. Claus at the Orleans Yacht Club followed by Santa’s arrival from the North Pole at 10am. But the festivities are just beginning. As Santa heads to Snow’s Home & Garden for one-on-one time with the kids, holiday shopping kicks into high gear throughout Orleans during Small Business Saturday. Don’t miss incredible bargains and merchandise variety during this annual shopping extravaganza.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, runners take to the streets of Orleans during the 8th annual Santa Stampede & Family Fun Run, featuring a Kids’ Run at 10 a.m. and a timed 5K at 10:30 a.m., both starting and ending at the Barley Neck Inn in East Orleans. Whether you’re a serious competitor or looking for some serious fun, it’s a total blast. There are prizes in various age categories, as well as awards for Best Costume given out during the after-party. Register in advance or on race day. Runners get a free long-sleeved T-shirt (while supplies last).
