Orleans Community Partnership, "It's All in Orleans!"
It’s All In Orleans….Streetscape Celebration Strolls, Wednesday, May 16, 2012, 4:30 to 6:30 pm leaving from Parish Park, 44 Main St, Orleans (in front of the Orleans Chamber Main Office).
Imagine what Orleans will become! Stroll the “before” ~ Glimpse the “future”. Enjoy small walking tours led by the Orleans Community Partnership. Visit key locations in the Streetscape Plan and offer your endorsements and/or suggestions. View projects already completed or underway at Aline Architecture, Hot Chocolate Sparrow, Orleans Treescape, and the Cove Road/Main Street Walkway. Envision the Orleans “Cultural Campus” in the making and join us for community conversations and good cheer. Rain or Shine.
The event is sponsored by the Orleans Community Partnership in collaboration with the Cape Cod Commission, the Orleans Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Orleans in recognition that Orleans is the “Hub of the Lower Cape”. Special appreciation to the Town of Orleans and the Parks and Beaches Superintendent Paul Fulcher.

Pops in the Park, in 2012 will be in its 23rd year and will take place on August 25, 2012. Pops in the Park features the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Jung-Ho Pak.
The audience will be delighted this year with a fantastic array of artists from different musical worlds, along with an incredible selection of music….from Broadway to Hollywood, from familiar folk favorites to stirring patriotic standards. Guest artists will include Tripping Lily, an acoustic folk pop quartet, Chatham Chorale which is one of the Cape’s finest and distinctive choral performers, and vocalist Liz Saunders paying tribute to legendary ladies, Patsy Cline, Patti Page and Connie Francis.
Proceeds from Pops in the Park benefit our scholarship fund. Since Pops began in 1990, we have awarded well-over $100,000 to qualified Nauset Regional High School graduates and over $15,000 to local youth organizations that help us with the event. The concert, which has become the leading cultural event on the Lower Cape, is a tribute to the efforts and dedication of the volunteers who work so hard to produce it.
